Justin Hunt

Justin Hunt graduated from the University of Kansas in 2011 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He attended the Santa Clara University School of Law the following fall in Santa Clara, California. As a law student, Justin participated in mock trial, studied international criminal law, and graduated with an advanced certification in Criminal Justice. He interned at the Santa Cruz and Santa Clara County Prosecutor’s Offices, working on homicide and gang cases.

Following graduation from law school in 2014, Justin Hunt worked as a volunteer attorney the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office. He later worked as a Deputy District Attorney at the Colusa County Prosecutor’s Office, managing the misdemeanor calendar for the entire county. In 2016, Justin Hunt moved to the Kansas City area and joined the Law Office of Jordan Watson, and subsequently KC Defense Counsel, LLC. He brings prosecution and criminal defense experience to every case he handles.

Justin is licensed to practice law in Missouri and remains on voluntarily inactive status with the California bar. His experience includes homicides, kidnapping, robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, armed criminal action, domestic violence (male and female defendants), felony and misdemeanor DWI, felony and Misdemeanor drug/ controlled substance (possession and sale)
